Reporting a wrong word
This is the most useful thing you can send us. A definition that is subtly wrong looks exactly like a correct one from our side, so we cannot find these without you.
Open the word in the app, tap ⋯ → Report a problem. It writes the message for you, including which word and which version of the word list you have, and shows you exactly what it contains before anything is sent. Nothing is transmitted unless you send it.
Common questions
The widget is showing the same word for a long time.
iOS decides when a lock screen widget may redraw, and it never redraws while the screen is off — so a new word waits for your next look rather than appearing on a timer. If it seems genuinely stuck, open the app once; that gives iOS a fresh set of upcoming words.
How do I add the widget?
Press and hold your lock screen, tap Customize, then Add Widgets, and choose Onymera. Home screen widgets are added the same way, by pressing and holding the home screen instead.
I bought personalization and it is not showing.
Settings → Restore purchase. If that does not do it, make sure you are signed into the same Apple Account that made the purchase.
I want my words back to normal.
Open the personalization chat and tap Show all words again. This is free, instant, and does not use up any of your daily changes.
I want my account and data deleted.
Settings → Delete Account, while signed in. It is immediate and permanent, and it removes everything: your identifier, every sentence you have typed, and your saved selection. See the privacy policy.
Does the free version need an account or send my data anywhere?
No. It makes no network requests at all.
Refunds
Purchases go through Apple, so refunds do too: reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue them ourselves, but tell us what went wrong and we will try to fix it.
